Sara Palin, Just Plain Stupid?

No. But her competitiveness and native charm were not enough to make up for her very limited world view, and her utter lack of interest in matters of policy. And by the way, Sarah Palin was the perfect example of how grade standards have been lowered. Her “college” degree represented less genuine learning than my high school diploma.

Still, her charm, and her sexual attractiveness helped create a virtual political movement of otherwise earnest folks who were ready to rise to her defense in a heartbeat – I swear, William Kristol got a hard-on every time he talked about her.

And in an empty Republican field, where nearly all the would-be’s have been caught in some form of sexual indiscretion, just being a dope may not disqualify a potential candidate from having a serious chance at the presidency. But Sarah Palin’s incoherent parting shot (did you hear it?) – her parting speech suggests that it really is time for her to get off the stage; to raise her kids, keep her husband happy, and keep her daughter from getting knocked up again.
